About

Just a man, a fan with a plan. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, meaning that my of my favorite teams are adopted. I came into awareness of the awesomeness that is sports at around age 5 or 6, meaning that most of my favorite teams were the ones that were successful during those years. To this day, I love the 49ers, A's and L.A. Kings.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Steve Young, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Mark McGwire, Wayne Gretzky

  • Favorite Sports Teams

    Oakland A's, San Francisco 49ers, L.A. Kings

  • Favorite Coaches

Bill Walsh, George Seifert, Art Howe, Tony LaRussa, Barry Melrose

  • All-Time Sports Moment

Watching the 49ers absolutely torch the Chargers en route to winning Super Bowl XXIX

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

The A's 3-0 shutout loss to the L.A. Angels on Opening Day 2009

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Cal Ripken's 2632-game consecutively played streak. Baseball players these days are much too soft to play in 162 consecutive games, let alone more than 16 consecutive seasons.

  • Ruth or Mays?

Ruth. He would absolutely destroy the N.L. as a hitting pitcher.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana. Johnny U was the definition of tough, but Joe Cool was the Lord of the Rings.

  • Jordan or Russell?

Jordan. He's the greatest ever. It's not that complex.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Gretzky. Orr is a legend, but there can be only one Great One.

  • Pele or Maradona?

Pele. Maradona meant more to a nation, but Pele brought soccer to the world.

  • Federer or Sampras?

Federer. He's the definition of domination.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Tiger. When Jack Nicklaus proclaims Tiger the best ever, you know it's true.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

    I don't follow NASCAR much.

  • Schumacher or Senna?

    Same with F-1.

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

As a Mountain West fan, I'm going to have to go with the Big 12. It is the only conference that can lay claim to being more than a "one-sport" conference.

My final connections piece is out - I have solved two big questions within the world of wrestling through mathematics: Why landing in the middle of the ring is the safest place, and whether the draft has limitations.
I hope you will find time to read this, as this article is one I am really proud of…
