Paxton Boyd graduated from Western Kentucky University in May 2011 with a degree in broadcast communications and a minor in psychology.
At WKU, Paxton was a reporter and anchor for WKU's student-run newscast, NewsChannel 12, and the university's sports show, The Extra Point.
Last year, Paxton was an intern at NewsChannel 5 (WTVF-TV) in Nashville, Tennessee, where he worked closely with the Tennessee Titans, Nashville Predators, Vanderbilt Commodores, Tennessee Volunteers and many other sports teams in the surrounding area.
Paxton is currently participating in B/R's internship program this summer.
