I am a senior at the University of Kansas where I am majoring in journalism in the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications with an emphasis on news information. I also am minoring in film media studies. While attending the University of Kansas, I have written for the school newspaper, the University Daily Kansan. In my first stint as a contributor, I covered swimming and diving. I followed that up with doing game grades for the men's basketball team. This semester, I will covering track and field, along with cross-country and women's basketball.
Sports have always been a big part of my life whether I was participating in them or covering them. When I was in eighth grade, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in sports journalism. Being able to go to a job and write about sports is a dream come true. If people don't enjoy what they do every day, there work will show it. When it comes to sports, it's work that I don't mind ever doing.
