I'm a freelance sportswriter, living in southern California. I am the lead writer and editor of howtowatchsports.com, a site for anybody who is better at watching sports than playing them.

My loyalties lie with underdogs, players who enjoy themselves, and coaches who tell it like it is. I also dig the Cavaliers, the 49ers, and the Angels—but much more than any team, I am a fan of the game.

I'm a junkie for statistical analysis, lists of any kind, and any discussion of a "greatest" anything.

I'm built like Nate Robinson, except without the muscles, explosive quickness, or really any athletic talent at all.

I started life as an advertising copywriter, writing ads and commercials for Nike, Sprite, and the like. Now I keep a day job to support my sportswriting habit.
