I see myself as a typical old-age pensioner who doesn't know all that much about baseball and needs to get a life.

If I come across as a bottom-feeder, well, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. However, I'm not nearly as big a loser as the Toronto Blue Jays have been for the past decade. Unfortunately, the Jays--I've been a fan for the past 25 years--are still my favorite team. I waste hundreds of hours every year agonizing over the team's effeteness.

Despite the latter, I believe that I'm still reasonably sane as I love old ladies, adult beverages and corned beef sandwiches, and I hate the Yankees.

Today (3-1-2010), I opted for fan free agency and have switched allegiance to the New York Yankees for the chance to win. Money was a non-factor. Winning is all that counts, eh. GO YANKEES!

Update 3-17-2010: The Yankees community kicked me out because I was deemed not arrogant enough to be a Yankees fan. When I tried to return my allegiance to the Jays, they designated me for assignment. So I'm kind of at loose ends right now, eh.
