Born into a family of crazy sports fans, I have taken Boston fan-dum to a whole new level. Growing up, I didn't read James and the Giant Peach or Clifford the Big Red Dog. No, my reading was Baseball Digest, The National and Sports Illustrated.
Who in their right mind grew up a Dave Stapleton fan? First off, does anyone know him? Former Boston Red Sox utility infielder, who hit .328 his rookie year and caught the final out of Game 5 in the 1986 ALCS. His career was done in 1987. Yes, that was my idol. Of course I was a fan of the Birds, Bourques and Neely's of the world.
I've been told that 'Fever Pitch' is an autobiography of my life. Come to 'Dan-town' and witness for yourself.
So why am I doing this? It's a life long dream to write about sports and something that I have always looked for ways to do so. I went to Siena College and the closest I could come to Journalism was a BA in English.
For all of those out there who say baseball should have a salary cap, prepare to have some knowledge dropped on you.

Yankee fans rooting for the Red Sox? Has hell frozen over, or is there a rational thought process at the root of it all. Read why it is ok for you to root for Boston on select occasions without feeling like Benedict Arnold.

There has always been a connection between religion and sports, and Major League Baseball has certainly not been the exception to the rule.

Pedro Martinez's activity during All-Star week has not been the type I would have once predicted. What about you?

Hey,
After the great success of my first article about the uniform numbers 1-10, I have come back with the next installment, with the best players to wear the uniform numbers 11-20. I hope you can take a look and even comment on my choices. Thanks in advance!

Hey,
The turmoil surrounding the 1977 Yankees earned them the nickname of “The Bronx Zoo.” The current 2009 Yankees have an interesting blend of leaders and pranksters, so I decided to create a LITERAL “zoo.”
Check out what animal each Yankee would be reincarnated as in a next life.
