John's Bio

I'm an aspiring sports journalist specializing in football related news and events. As a proud graduate of the University of Florida, I enjoy nothing more than watching my beloved Florida Gators dominate modern day NCAA Football. Tim Tebow is, without a doubt, one of my all-time favorite athletes and he continues to amaze me with his natural leadership ability both on and off the field.

Growing up in Tampa Bay, I've followed the hometown Buccaneers since the early 80's. As a small child, my father raised me as a Bucs fan during times when many would consider such an act to be a cruel form of child abuse. Needless to say, I survived the cruel and unusual punishment and have followed the team for many years since.

In my free time, I volunteer as head coach for the Carrollwood Mad Dogs, a youth flag football team in Tampa Bay. The experience is rewarding in many ways, but I most enjoy teaching young kids the dynamics behind my hybrid version of the spread offense. Our recent streak of Division Titles has earned me a reputation as the "Urban Meyer of Youth Flag Football". The Carrollwood Mad Dogs are a dynasty in the making...

I hope you enjoy my work...Go Gators!

Thanks for the note and compliments.

I didn't realize Tatum was a Florida kid. That pretty much seals it for me then....Unless MPG and JVDB are interested, that is. Thanks again!

  10. Thanks for the add - big Bucs fan here, and just read your "Rough Seas" article. I was starting to think I was the only person in the world that thinks my favorite team is in serious rebuilding mode in 09.
