About

About my B/R past:

I was the NFL featured content coordinator for B/R and ran the B/R NFL Twitter account.

I was an NFL Featured Columnist (FC) and a Cleveland Browns FC.

I exclusively covered the Hall of Fame game in Canton for Bleacher Report on August 8, 2010, as a fully credentialed member of the media.

I was an FC for Super Bowl XLIV, the 2010 NFL Combine FC, and an FC for the 2010 NFL Draft.

I have had many articles published on or linked to sites including: NFL.com, CBSSports.com, LA Times, USA Today, Seattle Times, SF Gate, Yahoo! Buzz, National Football Post, Philly.com, and Cleveland.com to name a few.

NFL Interviews:

Washington Redskins WR/KR Brandon Banks in Feb. 2010.
Cleveland Browns DB Ray Ventrone in March 2010.
Seattle Seahawks WR Jameson Konz in April 2010.
Hall of Fame QB John Elway in October 2010.

Outside of B/R:

I am a double-major in journalism and digital media at Cleveland State University (Dec. '11) and projecting to graduate with honors.

I was the Editor-in-Chief and sports editor of the CSU newspaper, The Cleveland Stater.

I write for and own a Cleveland Browns site called Dawg Scooper: The Cleveland Browns Source, which you can link to below.

Finally, I was a guest writer/contributor for National Football Post in their Daily Jolt freelance section. During that time I had an article mention and link in ESPN.com's Insider page.

Personal:

I live in Lakewood, OH, which is 10 minutes from Downtown Cleveland, with my girlfriend and two cats that love to play fetch. (You heard that right...cats that play fetch...crazy isn't it?)

I have been a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan since my early days of growing up in the late-70's and early-80's and I truly believe that there is no greater fan base in the nation.

I remember attending my first Browns game at old Cleveland Municipal Stadium and I was seated in the lower deck behind one of the infamous pillars that blocked your view from only certain seats throughout the stadium. But the excitement and atmosphere of a live football game was one of the most memorable moments of my youth.

Side note: In lieu of Queen James leaving the Cavs, I am now a born-again Cavs fan because I want to see them succeed without the Queen out of pure spite for what he has done to humiliate the city of Cleveland to a worldwide audience on ESPN.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

I grew up watching Eric Dickerson, Barry Sanders, Bo Jackson, Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Lawrence Taylor, Ronnie Lott, Bernie Kosar and I still love them all! Current players would have to be: Josh Cribbs, Peyton Hillis, Colt McCoy, Joe Haden, TJ Ward, Danny Woodhead, Peyton Manning, Troy Polamalu and many more.

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Cleveland Browns, THE Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers, San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks, and Houston Texans

  • Favorite Coaches

Bill Walsh, Jim Tressel, Mike Hargrove, Mike Holmgren, Bill Belichick, Peyton Manning (who is more or less a player-coach)

  • All-Time Sports Moment

Niners WR John Taylor catching the game winning TD to beat the Bengals in the final minutes of the Super Bowl.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

(More of a memorable experience) I did not attend the game, but I did partake in watching and celebrating The Ohio State Buckeyes National Championship victory while I was in Columbus, OH in 2002.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

All of the passing records that Peyton Manning will own once he retires.

  • Ruth or Mays?

Ken Griffey Jr. if he never got injured.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana, but he couldn't have done it without Jerry Rice, John Taylor, Roger Craig and Ronnie Lott among many others.

  • Jordan or Russell?

Michael Jordan, but he wouldn't have been able to do it without Scottie Pippen.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Is it just me, or is hockey really hard to watch? I have trouble following the puck.

  • Pele or Maradona?

I remember when I played fútbol in Middle School as a defender—I scored a goal from midfield.

  • Federer or Sampras?

The story of the tennis ball is very interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tennis_ball

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

The story of the golf ball is very interesting too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golf_ball

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

I just want to drive a NASCAR car once around the track as fast as I can.

  • Schumacher or Senna?

I honestly have no idea who either of these two people are.

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

    Big 10 first, then SEC.
