About Lee »

I was born & raised in eastern Ohio. I've lived in the same small village since I was 2.

The 1st picture of me ever taken was in a Steelers' shirt. The Steelers (and the NFL) are my passion. Until last season when I was able to change my days off to Sunday & Monday, I would take a vacation day every time the Steelers played. I bleed black & gold.

I also love Penn St. football. I became a fan of the Nittany Lions during my freshman year of high school. Until then I would watch college football but focused mainly on pro football. I was drawn to the Nittany Lions for a couple of reasons. One being that I live in the heart of Buckeye country and for whatever reason just didn't like them. And two being that I like and respect Joe Paterno.

The Cincinnati Reds became my favorite team while I was playing Little League, I played SS and was looking for a SS to model my game after...who better than Barry Larkin. The Reds just a couple of seasons later would win the 1990 World Series by sweeping the favored A's, led by Barry Larkin, Eric Davis, Billy Hatcher, Paul O'Neill, Jose Rijo, Tom Browning, and the "Nasty Boys". I'm hoping the Reds young pitching staff and position players such as Joey Votto, Jay Bruce, & Brandon Phillips can lead the Reds back to glory.

I started watching NBA basketball around 1988-1989 when the Bulls had their epic battles with the Pistons. I loved watching Michael Jordan dominate the game on both ends of the floor. Scottie Pippen improving on every aspect of his game and doing whatever the team needed. Horace Grant did the dirty work. And John Paxson would nail the open jumper. Later Toni Kukoc, Steve Kerr, Dennis Rodman, & Ron Harper were added to the mix with Jordan & Pippen and the Championships kept coming.

I was born into auto racing. My Dad used to race street stock, Figure 8, and drag race. My Grandpap (my Mom's father) owned race cars. I almost bought a street stock car 7 years ago, but I decided to take my money and buy a house instead. Not as much fun, but alot more necessary. When I was really young I followed Bill Elliott because my Dad did. Later, Davey Allison became my favorite driver and he still is my favorite of all time. After he passed away Rusty Wallace became my favorite driver. And currently Kevin Harvick is my favorite driver.

I also follow MMA (mainly UFC) and my favorite fighters are Georges St. Pierre & Frank Mir.

I play fantasy football seriously and fantasy baseball just for the heck of it.

I played football, basketball, & baseball growing up and through high school. And I've coached football and basketball since then.

My life is complete because of my wonderful son who was born in the fall of 2007 and my beautiful wife.

What up everyone? I wrote an article about the changes here on B/R over the last couple of months, and about some of the things that we used to have, that we don't anymore. If you could, check it out.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/261261-dear-bleacher-report-please-bring-back-the-old-format

As I have said in the past, many times, I am not on here for AOTD votes, but I believe that if enough of you give me your AOTD vote, then maybe the higher ups will bring back some of the things that are gone.

Thanks a bunch, I really appreciate it.

    Hey,

The turmoil surrounding the 1977 Yankees earned them the nickname of “The Bronx Zoo.” The current 2009 Yankees have an interesting blend of leaders and pranksters, so I decided to create a LITERAL “zoo.”

Check out what animal each Yankee would be reincarnated as in a next life.

A lot of people may not agree with me, but I think in time, everyone will see that this is a real possibility.
