Nino's Bio

I'm currently a Communications major at the University of Akron with aspirations of being a writer or broadcaster.

My favorite sports are football and baseball. I'm a die hard Indians fan, but as you can tell that's pretty much the only Ohio team I like, that doesn't really make me popular around my area. Not that I had a shot at that to begin with.

I run a complete blog that covers everything Cleveland Indians. Check out the my website link on the side if you hate me or like the Indians. I waste a lot of time updating useful roster pages and photoshoping Indians players onto heads of Super Mario characters.

I'm a community leader here at Bleacher Report for the MLB and Cleveland Indians sections. If you ever have any questions, please leave a note on my board because I already get enough e-mails.

Things you should know about me: I scream at the television while watching the Indians, I watch way too much television as well and have too many favorite TV shows, I love the e-trade baby commercial and hate the 3 year old Cuba Gooding Jr one with Michael Jordan. I have a weird obsession with mediocre like baseball players such as Jody Gerut and I tend to make them out to be god-like players. I also have an extreme dislike for Jack Cust. I believe I know everything there is to know about everything, I have an extremely rare sense of humor that almost no one understands, but I'm sure the fact that I think the e-trade baby commercial is funny clued you into that. I also used the word extreme a lot there.

I tend to ramble a lot, sometimes incoherently, which is probably what I'm doing now. Yes, I love to ramble. I also like to tell you how awesome I am. But realize this. I'm not. I actually think I've spent way too much time and carried out this profile thing a little too long. Let me also add, we type these out, so if you see someone typing in third person, they are full of themselves.

No not really, that's just.. Oh forget it.

Hey Nino, just to give you a heads up. I will be very light on writing as the season finishes out. I just accepted a new position at Kenyon College in their athletics department doing some IT work and will need to be focused there for a while. Not that any of this should matter to you, but I just was letting everyone know why I won't be doing the Tribe Talk or my weekly report. I hope to get back into doing some more stuff as I settle in. In the meantime I am just focusing on that and continuing my fantasy gig with Seamheads.com. I will pop by and continue getting involved in commenting and staying a part of the community however. Same thing. I usually just go in and add a random picture that matches at least the country being talked about remove the Indians tag and save the edit. I keep meaning to bring this up to Zander, but forget. It is a pain.

I was pleasantly surprised a few minutes ago when I went to MLB Trade Rumors. Blake was traded to the Dodgers. I havn'e read much into it yet, working on my fantasy article, but I'm sure there will be a ton on it tonight before the game. Anyway, gotta get back to my stuff. Later!

Since you've watched them more than I have, can you do an article on the late 90's Indians teams? I use to hate them with a passion, but I always enjoyed watching them because they had the most amazing hitters. So many they had to trade some ( Giles, Casey Bradley ) away.

Just a thought; I randomly seen the names paul assenmacher and eddie taubensee, and it put a tear in my eye. Loved that rivalry.

I'm a die hard Yankees Fan, and my one fear is that the Yankees, with Hank as our owner is going to make a absolutely retarded decision and sign C.C to a long term deal with millions and millions of dollars. I don't fear anything more as a Yankees fan then another big bust like Pavano, or Kevin Brown.

I watch the majority of the Yankees games, and try to keep on eye on C.C. What's your take on this guy from a die hard fan.

And way to lost to the Red Sox last year after being up 3-1. Regardless of the fact you won because of al of the bugs, I couldn't have wanted the Indians to make the World Series any more then you.

I thought Mendenhall was a great pick up for the Steelers. As much as I love Najeh Davenport, I didn't think he did very well last year (cept against the seahawks, I think it was them where he had 2 TDs) Anyways, Mendehall will give them a good 2 runningback system that will let them pound the ball in the ground and eat up some time...I think Dennis Dixon will play a Randle El type role...

Ha I see. Well I am not a very big fan of anything out of Michigan. I really hate the Wolverines and the Tigers. But I am looking forward to contributing to the website. Thanks, I invited three newer members to join in this week to mix it up. I am capping our discussion to five people per week to keep the column to a good length. I'm liking the Sens matchup. They have been going downhill lately, Gerber and Emery aren't playing nearly as good as they were at this time last year, and Alfredsson and Fisher are out of their lineup. I think the Pens might be more jacked up to avenge the loss from last year than they would have if they had to play the Flyers at least 4 more times. Should be a good one for sure.

Hey Nino...thanks for the pub on your site! I was reading along and saw myself quoted...pretty cool! Good luck with your site, I had started one, but was falling behind with it.
