Randy's Bio

My name is Randy and I currently reside in Providence, RI where I am working on finishing up an accounting degree, as well as working as the sole sports reporter for a small local publication. I write for several sites, with B/R being my favorite thus far, mostly due to the fact that I feel it gives you a lot more exposure than any other site I've come across. I focus primarily on the NFL, NBA, and MLB, however I'm not really in a position to break news-although I'll keep my eyes open-so right now I basically break down moves made, and events as well as preview things such as drafts, and entire seasons for teams and the sport. I play fantasy everything religiously, and every season work up fantasy previews including sleeper picks and everything fantasy related. While I am a New England area sports fan (Celtics, Pats, Sox) I believe you can ask anyone on the streets of Boston about something and they'll tell you how great their teams are, so I try my hardest to remain unbiased in my view of sports and upcoming games. When I'm not in class I'm likely watching sports on ESPN, NESN, or wherever I can find them. I spend a great deal of time studying statistics, and hope to make writing sports a career eventually. I also write short stories, and am working on a novel that isn't sports related. We'll see where I can go with this writing career, I think B/R is a great start though.

  4. Hey Randy,
How about them Yankees? That Damn Gerardi is our weakest link, if not for his lack of managing skills we would be celebrating a Pennant.
You might get a kick out of my last article. I actually ripped Gerardi a new ass____.
I am not very computer literate so I don't know how to print that blue thingamajig to make it easier for you.

I really let Gerardi have it, big time.

  5. How's it going, Randy? Number crunching being kind to you? ;-)

I almost had to make a decision between watching U. S. Open tennis finals and opening week NFL matchups. Rain delays in New York City solved the dilemma; but which one would I have chosen? Read on to find out:

  7. Hey Randy, I'm in your ESPN FF league, but since the draft is on Au 29, i will have to ask you to take me out of the league.

I can't make that draft because I'll be in the process of moving to Florida. I don't "do" autopick drafts, so if you keep me in the league, I won't ever touch it, as it technically won't be my team.

If you decide to move the draft back into September, I could still possibly do it, but not on the 29th.

Thanks for the original invite, but if you could just remove me from the league, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    Kevin

  8. Tarvaris Jackson to Jacksonville?

  9. Well, Randy, that league sounds fun, but unfortunately, I've already cut myself off for leagues this season. Last year I found myself so busy managing different teams that it made writing about fantasy football difficult. This season, I've cut back a bit. Maybe we can put something together next season? I will be creating an unlimited-players league, probably salary cap based, for B/R's fantasy football community, so keep an eye on that. Otherwise, my plate is already full. Thanks for the invite. If I can help you find a few more warm bodies for the league, let me know.

  10. Sorry, already loaded on ESPN.

  11. What site?
