Thank you for your comment on my stream (not sarcastic). Honestly, despite that article's massive amount of reads, I have never considered it my best work. It's one of the kinds of pieces where nobody comes out happy and, unfortunately, Ole Miss just happened to make the cut back then. It was my first "big" article here at B/R, making it inexperienced overall. I was certainly informed about the flag deal in the comments section but I still stand by my ideal that although Ole Miss is the Rebels, there was no need to use a Confederate Flag due to the connotations it might incite towards African Americans. Just because it makes sense doesn't mean it's right...although I will admit I may have overstepped by bounds when using a picture that doesn't apply to 2011. However, I'm sure many Rebels fans use Confederate flags on their tailgates and such today.
Anyway, I can't say I've ever had the pleasure of visiting Oxford yet I look forward to doing so. As an Aggie and now current SEC fan, no ridiculous list about rude fanbases could stop me from supporting my team in person on the road. I will most definitely be at Death Valley in 2013 and hopefuly Bryant-Denny in 2014 (the top two on my list). Unfortunately, I can't come to Oxford in 2012 (weddings...ugh) but would love to take you up on your offer for 2014. As far as I know, I'm also heading to Starkville to see my cousins that season so maybe I'll just hit both Mississippi universities in 2014. Honestly, the article was more or less generic as I was surely not trying to take a shot at Ole Miss or anyone else. Thanks again for the comment...it's good to know that people are still reading those old pieces of mine.
