About Michael »

I'm a 35-year-old sportswriter at the Missoulian newspaper in Missoula, MT. Despite not growing up in Northeast Ohio, I became a Browns, Indians, Cavs and Buckeye fan thanks to my father, who was raised outside of C-town. Because of my love of Cleveland sports, I am an eternal pessimist and take out my life's frustrations by pounding a punching bag with the likeness of Art Modell and Jose Mesa on it. I have a life, I just choose not to live it.

Much has been written about the Steelers, the 1970s, and their use of steroids. The current public perception is the Steelers began and glamorized the use of roids in the 70s. Read my article to find out who one man, with 4 NFL teams, spread the use of steroids throughout the NFL, beginning in 1963, and see just how pervasive roid usage was by the time the Steelers began their decade of dominance.

Hey Michael....the Fups were a softball team based in Flushing NY beginning in 1980 and lasted until the mid-90's......we were more famous for our post-game festivities than anything else....anyway its an interesting coincidence that you guys had a softball team or tourney with that name....

Idiot is much too harsh on yourself. Let's go with: You were so astounded by the awesomeness of my editing you saw me as the Dan Marino of editing. I think we both look good in the end.

Have a great day!
