Questions for Michael Vick
05/26/2009
Abraham has yet to fill out a bio.
The F. Scott Fitzgerald 'second acts' quote was found in some notes for a novel that he was working on prior to his death. The widely held view associates his quote with second chances. While some have questioned that view, it is generally difficult to glean intent from an unfinished work such as that. As for Vick, to play devil's advocate, Vick's only requirement is to serve out his sentence and regardless of his level of contrition after the fact, he's free to live his life as he chooses once released, for better or for worse.

I did not want to post this on your article. I just wanted to share something I seemed to have remembered from Lit class for some odd reason.
It is widely considered that FSF felt that the three act structure of most plays did not apply to life in general. You had only two acts, The First and the Last, the traditional second act where all the preparations and other elements for the third act occur. In short, life happens too fast for there to be a second act. It has nothing to do with second chances.
Agreed, Vick deserves a second chance, and this from an avid Animal rights activist. but only if he shows he truly understands what he did was wrong and that he works to put an end to it. Anyone can say the right things, but to actually embrace the right thing as a conviction that is where Michael will grow, heck he will probably become a better pro.
