Born in Louisiana and raised in Kansas and Texas, my favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL and the Houston Astros in baseball. It's ironic, really: in Texas, if you like the Cowboys, chances are you hated the Oilers/hate the Texans and vice versa; if you like the Astros, chances are you hate the Rangers. The same rings true for me, although I am very happy Houston is back in the NFL.
I also like the Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Dodgers and Denver Broncos as secondary teams.
I don't have a favorite basketball team, partly because hoops bores me with all the timeouts, fouls and other play stoppages. In hockey, I'm partial to the Detroit Red Wings, Dallas Stars and Toronto Maple Leafs. I also like the Anaheim Ducks simply because the duck is my favorite animal.
My favorite memories include the Super Bowl victories over the Bills and Steelers along with Emmitt Smith becoming the all-time leading rusher. I never attended a game at Texas Stadium, unfortunately. On the Astros' side, I attended three games at the Astrodome (Houston defeated the Cubs, lost to the Braves and defeated the Phillies). It was great to see Glenn Davis homer against the Phillies in that game back in 1989. Other fond memories include the aborted 1994 season and seeing Houston finally get to the World Series in 2005. And, yes, I absolutely abhor the Astros' current uniforms and would like them modernize the sixties shooting-star look and bring back the blue and orange.
since the Oswalt ejection i have decided to do a lil research on Bill
Hohn...Over all of baseball in the past few years the name "Bill Hohn"
comes up 677 times in game conclusion reports or post game reports and
in all of the ones that i have read he has ejected a player..Now i didnt
have time to read them all but this is bit excess...ive..How long has this
umpire been screwing up and getting called on it?? And how many times
will MLB cover up for this sorry excuse for an umpire?

Hey,
It's a tiny bit late as it took longer than expected to write it, but my review of 2009 is finally here! Last year's one won the AOTD award and hopefully I've done enough on this one to equal that feat, but I'll leave you to be the judge of that!
With 25 great moments from 12 different sports, and with everyone from Barcelona to France, the Yankees to the Lakers, and Usain Bolt to Tiger Woods there is something for everyone in this slideshow, plus a ranked top ten as the final slide!
If you get a chance would you mind checking it out? Cheers!
