The Unknown Royals Fan has been a Royals fan since the glory days of the '70s. However, the cruel reign of terror perpetrated by Allard Baird (former Royals General Manager) and its accompanying seasons of futility have forced him to go incognito, as it were. The URF, however, remains ever hopeful that October will mean baseball in Kansas City once again.
People of my generation look at them fondly as the players they watched as little kids, people of other generations may just look at them as great players. I created a slide show highlighting the best players of the 1990's. If you get a chance, take a look, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
Ryan Zimmerman’s hit streak halted at 30 games last night. As one streak ends, another is admired. Read about how Joe DiMaggio forever redefined ’56,’ and how his feat may never be broken. It is a record that thankfully cannot be broken through steroid use, and represents all that was once right in a game that has since gone so wrong.
Thanks in advance!
