About Rob »

Personal:
I am a 30 year old father of 3 from Pennsylvania. I have been married for almost 9 years.

Favorite Sports:
Although I do watch the NFL, I am a NASCAR fan through and through.

Why NASCAR?:
The photo you see of Rusty Wallace and Dale Earnhardt says it all. That photo is from the first NASCAR race I ever watched. The year was 1993 and NASCAR had just lost two of it's rising stars, Davey Allison and Alan Kulwicki. After Wallace and Earnhardt battled down to the last lap for the championship, the two came together, doing a Polish Victory Lap, to honor their fallen friends.Eight years later Rusty Wallace would honor his fallen friend, Dale Earnhardt, after his 2001 California win.

Other Writing Gigs:
Rob's NASCAR Blog ( http://www.robsnascar.wordpress.com )
Associated Content ( http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/18546/robert_rhodes.html )

Hopes For The Future:
My hope is that my writing here at Bleacher Report will lead to a full time paying job writing about NASCAR.

This article was originally published in support of Relay for Life. If you have read this before, then I apologize, but please considering donating at least $1 to Make a Wish in the memory of Josiah Herring. In light of several recent events I felt compelled to revisit cancer awareness and have not had the time for a new article. I Promise to have a new article out soon in support of the cause.

Thank you everyone!
