About Doug »

My name's Doug. 20 years old, HUGE New York Mets and New Jersey Devils fan since the 2000 seasons. I'm currently going to a community college majoring in Communications/Journalism, hoping to be a sports writer someday! I also plan to transfer to a NJ state school (maybe William Patterson, Kean, Montclair State?). I currently work at T.G.I. Friday's in order to pay for my tickets to games. Read my stuff and send it on to your friends! Get my name out there :)

Doug, do you remember the last great Baseball movie to come out? It feels like awhile huh? I just saw the next great one last night. It's called 'Sugar', it comes out on DVD Tuesday and here is my review of it- http://bleacherreport.com/articles/243227-sugar-small-but-sweet-an-excellent-non-traditional-baseball-movie

Thanks for the post. My parents actually just went on a cruise and saw Jonas Schwartz's parents there (I'm sure you know him, guy from SNY).

They told my parents his whole story. To put it bluntly the man earned everything he's gotten and more.

Both of them said it's extremely difficult... it's just really important to make connections. Without connections talent doesn't matter period.

    Hey Doug,

Mark Buerhle's superhuman performance on Thursday brought back great memories for me of the last American League pitcher prior to pitch a perfect game. On July 18th, 1999, I watched my favorite player David Cone add his name to a hallowed list. Only nine years old, it was a mesmerizing moment much like my first time at Disney World. And in this article, I relived it!
