Dan has yet to fill out a bio.
way to put the hyphens between my words dude.
Thanks very much for the extra set of eyes Dan.
Re your questions:
1. Marino—absolutely one of the greatest to ever play the position, but he doesn't even make my GoAT debate b/c of the lack of championships. I'd certainly have Manning over him.
2. Baseball—that's a fair point, but baseball has always been a bit different. Given the length of the season and the limited ability of one player to carry an entire team, there has never been the same premium placed on the postseason.
The fact that the Say Hey Kid didn't perform well in the playoffs DEFINITELY hurts his argument as it does Aaron's, but the flaw is rectifiable in MLB as it is for other positions in the NFL.
QBs definitely get screwed in that regard, but I think THAT is what makes it the most difficult job in sports rather than the physical aspect.
Thanks again.
Andrew
Interesting article. I just made some minor edits. On another note where would you rank Dan Marino? He never won a Super Bowl (Manning at least has one). And in baseball Willie Mays won one title and hit .243 in the playoffs. Hank Aaron only won one title
Thanks for reading and editing my article, Dan.
Thanks for the edits and the comments.
Thanks for the edits and feedback on my recent Astros Outfield Preview. Greatly appreciated, as always!
Thanks for the edits, Dan. You wouldn't happen to be the Dan Marra that once interned at WWE, would you?
Thanks for the edits, Dan
