***If your name is Pete Samford, please get off my page. Don't comment, don't leave a message. I'm not really interested in hearing anything you have to say. Just leave me alone dude.
My name is Tim. I love sports of all kinds, but tennis has a special spot in my heart. My writing approaches the game from an objective and tactical point of view. I love open debate, as long as it remains respectful and logical. Special shout out to the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers. Donovan, keep your head up!
Also let me add this: Federer is a great player. You don't have to be a fan of his in order to appreciate his game. The Federer-Nadal, "Who's better debate" has gotten so far out of hand that we're not really thinking clearly. These guys are two geniuses, two guys who have found very different way of reaching teh top of the sport. No matter which one you pull for, lets give them both the respect that's due. Let's also realize that both guys are people, human beings who are capable of being imperfect.
Hi Tim, I understand you no longer writes for bleacher report. I am very sorry about that, as I very much enjoy your writing. May I ask, where do you contribute your writing these days? I miss your articles!
ATTENTION: This is Tim Ruffin. Due to conflict with Bleacher Report Management, I will no longer be writing articles for this site. After over a year of loyal writing, and sizeable following of readers, B/R and I have had a falling out over their lack of attention and prompt action against racially motivated insults and comments directed towards me by B/R users John Bradley, Pete Samford, and Daniel Fraser. After a few weeks of back and forth the decision from B/R was to suspend all of the parties involved, including the victim. I find that to be unacceptable. I have been told that my writing privileges will be restored as soon as I "agree to the new terms and rules of conduct" or B/R. As I was the victim I find it ridiculous that B/R would attempt to lump me in with bigots. It's a joke. Writing for this site is a privilege? Give me a break. Bleacher Report has been on a slipper slope into B.S. pseudo -journalism for over a year now. There are hardly any real writers left on here with the acception of J.A. Allen and Marrianne Bevis (not even sure if they are stil on here). The fact remains that there should have been greateer control oand oversight on the site from day one. If it was managed correctly, idiots like Pete Samford and Daniel Fraser would never have been able to get goin in the first place. This note is primarliy for my fans and friends on the site who must be wondering where I am, and why I have been commenting on Roger Federer's recent decline. Basically, I don't write wfor the site any more, and the leadership doesn't have the decency or professionalism to remove my profile and articles. At the end of the day I wasn't shocked to find that there were lunatics who had found their way into the tennis forum, but I thought that this would be an issue that B/R would take more seriously. I was wrong. This is the Real Tim Ruffin, anyone else who has or ever does claim to be me is lying. I just wanted to tell my friends what's going on and why I'm no longer writing and participating in the forum.
Hi Tim, why aren't you writing these days?
Hi Tim - Hope all is OK with you! Have not seen you around of late and thought I would check in! Miss seeing your articles and your presence on BR!
Oh my god! I saw the ugly note that John Bradley left. He should be kicked off. Keep writing, I like your articles!
Hey Tim! I thought you should know that I was put on probation today (or basically kicked out for a while) - I wanted to give a "like" to someone, and was informed of this. I just signed up again. One of the last posts I made was in response to "Rafa Nadal's" idiotic comment. It's obvious he's "Fraser" in disguise, and I felt my comment was in no way vulgar or rude; I was stating the truth about this guy. Anyway, he's probably responsible for Bleacher's action. I should appeal since I don't feel I did anything wrong. Take care.
Hey Tim how's it going, just "passing" by to tell that guy Daniel is crazy, you shouldn't get into discussions with him. He does research but even when im agrre with him it's a little scary lol. See ya round
Hey Tim,
I've just posted a story about the global evolution of tennis and the increasing popularity of the sport. I've put a lot of time and effort into it, and I'd be really grateful to get any feedback you have.
If you get a chance to check it out, that would be great.
