Jessica's Bio

Hi there, my name is Jessica Reuter, soon to change, as I am going to be married on December, 19, 2009. I'm currently a senior at the University of Central Florida, majoring in English, minoring in Sociology, and currently taking a course in sports psychology. I will graduate in the spring of 2010, and upon graduation I plan to dive head first into sports journalism. If writing is my passion, then sports journalism is my supreme passion.

I am happy to have completed an editing internship this summer here at Bleacher Report, and I'm excited to announce that I am now the UCF Knights Football Featured Columnist here as well! I am also the Central Florida Knights Examiner at Examiner.com, and I am a music critic for The Silent Ballet. I tutor non-native English speakers in American English, and I work at a school as an extended school care teacher part-time. In addition, I'm a creative writing class volunteer instructor.

I'm originally from Buffalo, NY, and it will always be my first home. I am a fan of: Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, UCF Knights, Orlando Magic, New York Yankees...

I'm so excited it's football season. How about you?

  4. Thanks Jessica, we really appreciate that! Glad to have you on-board.

  5. Well if you would like to preview UCF basketball, just do a 400-800 word preseason piece by Thursday and leave the link to it on my board, and I will submit it for the grand preview project!!

I was going to have someone else do UCF, but I think it only appropriate that you handle the honors, if you have the time.

  6. Congratulations on the UCF FC gig! I'm an inveterate University of Memphis fans (the basketball team will extract the football beatdown from your hides! lol) but we C-USA folks have to stick together! lol

Are you involved in the Bleacher Report basketball pre-season preview project??

  7. While I usually don't promote articles, I saw fit to promote this one. I feel people are not paying attention to what this article is about. They probably should. No matter if you are a fan of Florida or LSU, this is something you need to remember going into tomorrow night.

  8. Wrote a article as we're approaching the quarterpole of the NFL (more so if you count preseason).

Which players surprised even the best of analysts?

Aron Glatzer asked me to compile the official B/R NFL Power Groupings for Week Two. (Angel Navedo did the same for week one).
