Are you sure you didn't mean Permian in Number 12? I remember Carter in that movie being a bunch of dirty players.

I am a graduate of SUNY Oneonta, and I am very passionate about sports. While I mostly write about pro/major college sports on this site and my other blog, my real passion is high school and small college sports. The main reason behind this is that most small college and high school players are not concerned about money or signing a lucrative contract; they're there to play and that's it.
I write my own blog, McMullen's Musings, which does showcase the stories that may be overlooked by the major sportwriters. Hopefully, with B/R's help, it will become a big success. Enjoy my articles and please comment and give me feedback; it will only make me better!
By the way, the drawing of me featured on this site was drawn by Rich Conley, a very good caricaturist from the Albany/Schenectady/Saratoga area of New York.

I was reading your article, but I actually wanted to comment on your choice of Pele. Maradona is only famous because of human error? I take it you do not watch a lot of football, because Maradona singlehandedly won the world cup for Argentina. He also led Napoli to multiple titles for the first time in the history of the club. Not to mention he scored the goal of the century, and is considered by Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldinho and Messi to the best player of all time. So saying he is only famous due to "human error" is completely false.
I must also disagree with your point about Federer. Federer has dominated on every surface at some point, compared to Sampras. Sampras' serve is what allowed him to win; his volleys were mediocre and his backhand lukewarm. There has never been a better player than Federer. If there was a tennis match between Earth and Mars, and the losing planet would be enslaved, who would you have? I would take Federer 9/10. And I used to say Sampras was better, but there is no denying Federer's superiority now
