Mitch's Bio

My name is Mitch Ciccarelli and Mixed Martial Arts is my passion. I've been a martial artist for most of my life. I've studied Shaolin Kempo Karate for 10 years and in the summer of 2008 I began training in all aspects of MMA, focusing on Muay Thai.

In July of 2008 I discovered my passion for MMA writing. I became a member of an MMA forum and one of the members asked me if I would write articles for his website. I had found my calling in life.

I went on to discover Bleacher Report and from there my MMA opportunities have taken off. I am currently the co-community leader of the UFC section right here on Bleacher Report alongside Derek Bolender and I was recently added as a feature columnist for the MMA section on B/R as well.

My immediate MMA goals include interviewing the fighters, covering MMA events, and continuing to improve my writing craft. My intention is to be a part of the MMA industry long-term.

I have had six articles syndicated to Sports Illustrated, you can check those articles out at the following links:

  1. Hi Mitch,

    This one's a bit edgier LOL :)

Please feel free to leave a comment and let me know who you think would win the fight.

    Cheers
    James

  2. Mitch, gotta hand it to you. Your position and delivery with DD today on the Lesnar thing was very well spoken and displays the type of leadership this community needs. Rise above I say, and you did just that. I cant commend you enough and I am very proud to be a part of a community with guys like you hanging around. There is a tone in MMA that is inescapable. The demographic lures all sorts of people its very eclectic. People like you are the cream of the crop. I just wanted to say kudos for handling that so well and not just jumping in and playing ball under the rules that were obviously in place. Your in AZ right, if Im right about that, maybe someday we can get together and have a drink and talk the game. It would be an honor to meet you. Cheers bro, take care.

  3. Hello Buddy, take a look at this important article. It will most likely be my last on bleacher report. Feel free to pass it around. Thank you very much and God Bless!

  4. Check out my latest article on Gegard Mousasi, based on a recent interview I did with him.

Weigh in on your opinion of him as a fighter and what will happen to him in the future.

  5. hey Mitch is TUF sending the wrong message http://bleacherreport.com/articles/280763-the-ultimate-fighter-sends-wrong-message appreciate any input

  6. Hi.

I wrote an article in support of Cecil Peoples.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/280617-support-cecil-peoples

No matter what people think of the decision, vilifying Cecil Peoples has simply gone too far.

I've also created a facebook group in support of Cecil Peoples. I hope that you'll join, even if you disagreed with the decision.

    Thanks,

    Darren

  7. That's awesome Mitch. Thanks for the heads up!

  8. Hey man, everybody thinks that Shogun beat Machida. Here's my article on why I think the fight was closer than most people realize.

Contrasting opinions, other comments, and feedback are always welcome.
