About Matt »

Hola. My name is Matt Sunday, and I am currently a student pursuing a career in journalism. For as long as I have been alive, I have delivered passion to everything that I have done. That passion helped me as an athlete, and hopefully it will help me to bring excitement to my readers.

My background in sports includes playing both hockey and lacrosse at the high school level. During my time playing competitively, I was lucky enough to get a chance to play alongside athletes that compete, or have competed, on a world stage. Unfortunately, my "career" was cut short due to a series of concussions.

Luckily for me, I have a background in the English language that compliments my sports IQ nicely. I am looking to parlay the two into a career that I could enjoy. There is nothing that I could want less out of life than being stuck in a field that I don't enjoy. My passion for sports is undeniable, and hopefully those that read what I have to say will find that passion enjoyable.

Hey Matt, sorry about the delay in response; for some reason I don't get immediate alerts from B/R like I used to.

WVU, huh? Nice! I didn't know they have a journalism program.

I am really looking forward to starting my time at Penn State in the spring. My intended major is Telecommunications, but I might look into journalism as well.

Wow, you're lucky! I have yet to do two things: go to a Panthers training camp session, and attend a home game in Charlotte. I'll be attending Eagles training camp again this season, as it's a closer drive than Charlotte or Spartanburg, but I hope to one day soon go to a home game at least.

Where are you pursuing your degree in journalism? I added my name to your fan list, too. Look forward to reading about the Steelers this season!

Thanks, Matt, always good to get some feedback from the only fans that matter, the one's from Hockeytahn. Hope you're getting geared up for the playoffs, should be a hell of a show. Look forward to hearing more from you in the coming weeks, and Let's Go Pens.
