Luke graduated in May 2009 with a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri. He spent the 2008-2009 basketball season following the team and chronicling its incredible run all the way to the Elite 8 for the Columbia Missourian. For the summer of 2009, he'll be working as a general assignment sports reporter at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, covering any sports his editor tells him to. In the meantime, he'll try to keep this blog up-to-date with all the happenings (or non-happenings) in the world of Missouri basketball.

Hey Luke,
Brad Frank, one of the Duke Basketball Community Leaders, and I have just completed an article we wrote together. We highlight 5 different questions about Duke's upcoming season and each answer the questions from a different point of view.
Check it out if you get the chance and make sure to supply some of your great comments and feedback. Thanks in advance!

Agreed. I appreciate you being open-minded. I too appoligize for 'personally attacking' you. I felt you were doing the same, and I felt the need to defend.
I agree the sole purpose of B/R should be to analyze, but why not have fans go somewhere else to get their breaking news. Especially when you can get the info quicker. I few Breaking News articles don't hurt...
An alternative to Marshall would be great, although I like keeping him in the bullpen. I'm hearing Samardzija's name being thrown out there, I do think Marshall is being falsely criticized (by everyone) though. He was thrown into the starting role just moments before he game, what do you expect?
You're right, I could have speculated on who might take Z's started; I just didn't want it to turn into an opinion article. As soon as I heard the news from a twitter source, I wanted to break the news ASAP. After posting the article, I noticed www.cubs.com, www.mlb.com, and www.espn.com hadn't even broken the story yet. Only www.espnchicago.com had something posted.
I actually broke the news of Ted Lilly's trip to DL before just about any of the major news outlets. A Chicago TV broadcaster had direct access to the info reguarding Lilly's MRI, and leaked some info via twitter. Editors and readers alike both noticed it and appreciated the article. Other than that, I typically don't right Breaking News articles...nor should anybody. Even B/R "star" Bob Warja writes some strictly Breaking News articles from time to time.
Hey!
Can you provide your analysis on this college basketball article. Thanks! http://bleacherreport.com/articles/226743-lawrence-westbrook-will-be-the-man-that-will-lead-the-gophers
