I was born in northern Ohio and it has been a rough sports life. The Browns of the late 80's were good enough to just fall short. The Indians have ripped my heart out three times real big plus a bunch of smaller times. The Cavs are abysmal.
I moved to Tucson and felt the joy in 1997 and it was awesome. In 2002 Ohio State won it all but they did lose the game for a moment until a ref saved us.
I have seen two Rose Bowl wins and those were sweet and in one of them Ohio State beat ASU and that was just awesome.
I like the Philly teams too because there is no Cleveland hockey team and the Blue Jackets just don't do it for me. The liking of the Flyers spread to the other three Philly teams, two are in the national conferences so they don't really compete with Cleveland and the Sixers have never broken my heart with a huge win over Cleveland.
The Philly teams are not mine though because when the Phillies won it all in 2008, it was nice but it wasn't my team.

Thanks for reading and commenting on my article Dan. I agree with you that no government funding should go into professional sports facilities with the exception of those that being used for international events like the Olympics. Team owners are too fickle and too greedy to be trusted.

Hey Dan,
It's been a long time since I have advertized my article on B/R. With the weekend here, figured I'd take advantage. I hope I can have a few minutes of your time to check out this article on the Baltimore Ravens.
It is on the fine Ray Lewis received by the NFL for his hit on Chad Ocho. To me, I think the NFL has gone to far with this, and decided to voice my opinion.
Whether you agree or disagree, I appreicate any comment.

The Heisman Trophy isn't the same as it use to be. What are the faults and what can be done in order to get the bronze figurine back to where it once was?
Don't be shy!
