The Coon's Bio
Who is The Coon?!
Well I'm a Pittsburgh native currently attending Robert Morris University (go Colonials!) hoping to one day become a sports writer. I realize the newspapers are a dying breed, but I have the most respect for their writers, and wish I could have grown up during the heyday of sports writers (20's-50's). I'm hoping to one day breach the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, but I'm open to the internet (or else I wouldn't be here!)
I'm a baseball guy, I've played in all my life, and it's my passion. But I also enjoy the NFL, NHL, and have just gotten into fantasy sports over the last 4-5 years and I can honestly say it's one of the greatest things ever.
I'm hoping to hone my skills on this website, and maybe impress a few people along the way. Any feedback, positive or negative, is welcome.
I hope you enjoy my articles!

Did the Patriots draft a sleeper? Maybe they did, but not why you think!

Hey man. Hope all is well. Hell of a week by the Pirates. This will be the first time they enter May with a winning record since 2002.

My Baseball Weekly Notebook for last week is up. I took a look at the bullpens of each playoff team of the past 10 years and found some pretty big lines in the statistical sand. Check it out.

Hey, loved the UNC article. Obviously, I've found that there's people out there who just have to FIND a reason to hate a team or their players (UNC not being the only one like that), and it's really jaded Hansbrough against the media (he has said as much recently).
We could use a lot more of him in CBB - you're right about that. Great article. I loved that episode of SP, by the way. ;-)

Coon,
Nice avatar and thanks becoming a fan. Don't worry about people getting whacked out by comments as this is a really good site, the best i have ever been on to express your opinions. There will always be people who are negative. Again, great article as you have some nice writing style and talent. Good luck in school.
