About

Hi. My name is Ben and I am a Royals fan, but overall, I am baseball fan. I write on here primarily for the Kansas City Royals and have off and on the past 3 years. I'm hoping to consistently contribute from Winter 2011 on.

Though baseball is my favorite sport, I really love all sports (football, basketball, hockey, soccer). Not so much into racing however (Sorry NASCAR Fans), but I love writing about sports. A dream of mine to say the least.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Michael Jordan, Dwight Howard, Alex Gordon, Joakim Soria, Coco Crisp, David DeJesus,

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Kansas City Royals, Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, North Carolina Tar Heels

  • Favorite Coaches

John Wooden is one of my favorites as well as

  • All-Time Sports Moment

Last year, Dodgers come back with 5 homers to beat the Padres 11-10, but thats the most recent one

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Too many, one that was memorable was this spring training, Royals-Brewers, and not only did the Royals win big, but I got to meet Trey Hillman and talk to him for about 5 minutes. One of the coolest conversations ever. Infact, this year's week at Spring Training is somethign that I will never forget.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

I think that no one will ever break Cal Ripken's record of conectuitive games played. That record takes so much just to get remotely close too.

  • Ruth or Mays?

Mays. Though Ruth made the home run famous and changed baseball, Mays played with a passion and a game that you truly can't compare to today's big leaguers.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana. You can be surrounded by great talent, but it's how you use that talent that matters.

  • Jordan or Russell?

Russel. I love MJ, don't get me wrong, but there is always one constant: Big Man Win Championships

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Wish I could've seen Orr play. I have a hunch he was better, but lets be honest, they are both great.

  • Pele or Maradona?

    Pele. End of discussion

  • Federer or Sampras?

Sampras. The way that he played the game in my mind will never be matched.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Give Jack the equipment Tiger uses when Jack was in his prime, and I think we see Jack do what Tiger can't.

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

The Big 12 consistenly puts up quality competition in all sports......even if the conference is falling apart.
