By day, I write TV commercials. By night, I write about wrestling.
It all started as I was flipping channels and stumbled onto a random episode of WCW Thunder.
A guy named Diamond Dallas Page was calling out someone named Raven. Raven finally came out after all of Page's insults, and instead of them fighting like I expected, he just turned around and walked to the back. I needed to know why.
I was hooked, and have been watching ever since.
I'm fascinated by every aspect of wrestling: the pure athleticism, the charismatic promos and even the downright awful. As much as I enjoy a good match, it's often the worst the sport has to offer that sticks with me and compels me to write.
I also just love a good rant.
I read your article of what you believe were the top ten chants from last night's RAW. Now I understand that you have most of them on the list, but I found a video that I think has all of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsBOiNAYWtM
Keep trying, sport, and you can get to the level of GSM.
I like ya andy, your 100 worst moments were a great read, but why so Negative?
Hey Andy you're welcome. It's always a joy reading you're articles. Hands down my favourite writer on this site. I frequently find myself nodding in approval/laughing as the piece dictates. It's difficult not to comment as I pretty much agree with everything you write.
It does somewhat frustrate me that there are those who dismiss your quality articles as purely negative when you're clearly just a realist like myself who only complains because you know things could be so much better(I dare say you could accurately suggest how as well). I beliee these people are actually the negative ones who manage to miss the intended points and instead complain that you don't praise illogical nonsense.
It's quite normal for someone who feels passionately about a product to air their frustration when so many avoidable errors are made.
Thank you kindly for your praise on my comment. It really is a shame that HHH just cannot get over his ego. From his perspective: eing well rested and all powerful why on earth would he want to retire? After all, you never know whose gonna get red hot around the corner. I do wish he would though and just focus on the business. Truth be told if he did actually have a final match I could see him begging HBK to come back for it...
Thanks for the Avatar compliement! Vigo is one celebrity I actually wouldn't mind being a social media ambassador! Also, give him a beard and he's got a HHH resemblance going on.
I look forward to your next article- As always!
Great piece on the HHH/Lesnar match.
How come there was not a WWE Worst of the Week article last week?
I really enjoyed your randomly depressing wrestling facts. Great job!
Brilliant rant. I dream of being able to rant as well as you. I just scream at my keyboard and nothing happens. What's your secret?
Ever considered doing a "Best of the Week." I usually agree with all of your worsts and it would be interesting to see what you consider to be good in the world of wrestling. Keep up the good work.
