Matt's Fans (6)
Matt's Bio
I'm a huge football fan. Any information regarding the NFL or South Eastern Conference in college football, I read up on everyday if not continuously everyday from many different sources: Rivals.com, CBSsportline, AJC.com, ESPN.com, Foxsports.com, 680 the fan, bleacherreport.com, The Coalition (face book), and many more.
My Writing Guideline: The Goods
I write about subjects that are NOT in the mass media.....although not as whole anyway.....Stories that may be considered 2nd tier (not the cover story if you will) but still educates the reader more times than not. My goal is to leave the reader with information that he/she never had before...no matter the amount. At the very least, a different perspective or view point to consider. All information from my blogs and articles are my opinions based on collection of factual information from as many sources as possible. The amount of sources I use can differ from topic to topic. Whenever I feel educated on the topic at hand, I only then begin to write blogs and articles. "bleacher report" pays editors to view my articles as well. Also, I'm aware that my opinions based on fact may not set well with others...as long as the reader leaves with either more knowledge and/or a different perspective to consider...the article was worth it.
Personal Pet Peeve
Egos? I'd rather have battery acid poured directly into my eyes....... not to be confused with those that are confident.... I respect people that exhibit some humility instead of some Harry BignNuts talking out his blow hole....just don't enjoyit, and never will...sue me. I like to think most other people feel the same way......I'm not sayin.....I’m just saying...Unless of course., your one of those people that doesn't agree...chances are your HarryBigNuts. You dig?
Sports Background / Education / Profession / Passions
I'm a former player in football and track growing up: played DB, WR, and returned kicks.....ran 100m, 200m, and long jump in track.: I now am more middle school speed. But my words per min in the typing department is up ten fold. I attended both the University of Georgia and University of Alabama where I graduated with a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing: Intern-Career Sports Management 2003. Currently, I'm a financial advisor and an independent insurance broker. My passions, other than NFL and SEC football, include producing /editing film sports footage and articles(my Xbox if you will), golf, spending time with family and friends, networking and meeting new people, listening to the stereo coming out my window (without the window part), writing sports articles, and going out for a well deserved cocktail to the face sometimes.....so whats it to ya?
