Mac's Bio

An avid sports fan and recent graduate of Michigan State University's journalism school, I just began a job in editing and design for a six-day daily newspaper. I follow all major Detroit teams, especially my Lions (yes, seriously). I play tennis regularly and model my game after John McEnroe to middling results.

  1. Mac,

Here is my last installment on the stolen base series I wrote all season and you've been editing. Let me know what you think. Its currently un-edited and it includes previews and predictions for 2010.

Season Finale: Part V: Returning the Stolen Base to Baseball Prominence

    Enjoyed you editing my articles.

    Joe

  2. Thanks for the edit Mac.

  3. Thanks for a catchier title. ;-)

  4. Mac, Thank you for the edits and feedback on my Dodgers article.

  5. Thanks for the great edit and feedback Mac! I appreciate it

  6. Mac,

Thanks sincerely for the edits. I especially want to compliment the headline change—that gives it a little extra kick. Very nice.

I just added the Paralyzed Vets of America link at the bottom, which I'm betting you didn't even notice you had dropped. Either way, no sweat just wanted it back in there.

    Appreciate the contribution.

    Andrew

  7. Hey Mac,

Thanks for taking the time to tweak my story into better shape. As for the strange things hovering over the City of Angels, the USC situation is pretty weird. Were it not for the hiring of Pete Carroll, and his success at the college level, Mike Garrett would be signing autographs for a living.

  8. Thanks so much for the edit and kind words.

I am glad you helped me out!

  9. Mac,
Thanks for the feedback on the Pirates story. It is definitely tough for teams from places like Pittsburgh and Detroit to compete in today's sports world.

  10. thanks for the edit. it's a story just for a laugh. i like the change in the title, nice job.

  11. Mac, thanks much for the edit and feedback. Feel free to give it some stars or a POTD! lol

  12. Thanks for the edit and the background info. Anyone who is new to the story probably would've been confused with reference to the earlier issue. Thanks Mac!

  13. thanks for the edit and the comments. I personally think he will come back and play this year for the Panthers, only because it's clear nobody is sold on him as a consistent threat and whole hearted player. If he can replicate his stats from last year, I don't see the team having any problem moving him next offseason--although it would require them to franchise him yet again, which would be a definite low blow to Pep. That's a story for another offseason though!
    Thanks again man

  14. Yeah, VY had a pretty decent hand, and he sure has managed to mess it all up.
Thanks for changing the headline. I knew mine was sort of clunky, but couldn't come up with anything better. Thanks again Mac!

  15. Thanks for the edits, comments and compliments Mac. I am humbled and really appreciate them. I've a lot of family from Detroit so I've got a lot of love for the D but not sure what the Pistons are going to do next year after the debacle that was the trade of Chauncey. It made no sense to me then or now. The player that the team should've traded is Rasheed Wallace.

The Red Wings will bring another championship to the city. The Tigers will be a factor in MLB and are one of my picks to be one of the last four teams standing in the American League. Oh and before I forget I love college football and think that Michigan State had a good year last year and 2009 will be even better. You will come to remember these names very well OL David Barrent, RB Edwin Baker, LB Chris Norman and QB Andrew Maxwell. Oh and LB Greg Jones returns and will play exclusively at MLB and continue to lead the team in tackles for the third year in a row.

How's that for some news on Detroit sports? I think your Lions will have it tough after going defeated for 2008. I do see them improving with the changes that were made just not sure if it will show up in the win/loss column but for their loyal fans like yourself I hope it does.
