About

I'm a New York Rangers fan living in South Florida, along with my wonderful wife and two fantastic kids. I am truly blessed.

I also write for a living, and consider myself fortunate to have this "second career" with Bleacher Report. As a lifelong Blueshirts fan, this is a great way for me to feed my soul, while I help pay the bills toiling in the corporate world. To tell you the truth, my first career ain't too shabby, either.

So I get the best of both. Grateful for it, too.

Short List

New York Rangers, New York Giants, New York Yankees

  • Favorite Coaches

    John Tortorella, Tom Coughlin

  • All-Time Sports Moment

Watching the Rangers win the Stanley Cup in 1994. Surreal.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

The home opener for the Rangers after the '95 lockout, when they raised the Cup banner.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Glen Hall - 502 straight games in goal. Not likely to happen again. How did he do it?

  • Ruth or Mays?

Ruth. Not to discount the Say Hey Kid, but Ruth was such a larger than life figure. And a great player.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana. Didn't get to see Johnny U. a whole lot. But Montana was something else.

  • Jordan or Russell?

    Jordan. The greatest ever. Period.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Tough one. But I'll go with The Great One. The knees killed Orr's career, unfortunately.

  • Federer or Sampras?

    Sampras.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Nicklaus. Tiger is just a louse.

Petty. #43 rules. RIP Dale, Sr.

  • Schumacher or Senna?

    Senna.

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

Big East - but the 80's version, complete with the Lou Carnesecca sweaters.

You should write a bio, I'd love to know what your background in sport writing is and where you gained your affinity for it.

51 games not 61.. I think future looks great and admire Sather for not buckling to Prust.....a fan favorite. As far as making it to 3rd round this year, we both know that series 1 & 2 easily could have gone the other way. Just sayin'. Torts is not my guy but Rangers are my team.
