The Dugout Report is a new blog in name, but is really a continuation of a blog started over at http://www.bayareabaseball.today.com. Bay Area Baseball was a site I built that saw great gains in traffic - up from just a few hundred visitors per month to nearly 4000 views each month.
The change to The Dugout Report will serve to improve the blog experience, rather than focusing only on the Bay Area, The Dugout Report will really focus on all aspects of the greatest game on the planet. Additionally, The Dugout Report will offer media such as podcasts and more exclusive photographs taken live at games.
Please pass on the site to anyone you know who would be interested and add us to your RSS feeds! Also be sure to check out our podcasts - coming soon. Please feel more than free to email us at TheDugoutReport@gmail.com. Suggestions and questions are welcome!

Wesley-
I am really pleased with the reaction to this article I wrote last night, just to blow off steam from a long day at work. I didn't really pimp it at all, but since it's gotten a good response I thought I would push a bit. Take a look if you have time today. Thanks

Hey Wesley,
The All Star game isn't until July, but if it were to happen now, who would the starters be? A lot could change between now and then, but I'd like to recognize some of the top performers in the early goings. I'd love to hear your opinion on my choices, thanks a lot.

Hey Wesley,
Ryan Zimmerman’s hit streak halted at 30 games last night. As one streak ends, another is admired. Read about how Joe DiMaggio forever redefined ’56,’ and how his feat may never be broken. It is a record that thankfully cannot be broken through steroid use, and represents all that was once right in a game that has since gone so wrong.

Hey,
Walter Johnson was one of the greatest pitchers of all time and yet sometimes is not thought of when we talk about baseball in the past. I've decided to write about him and to show how great a pitcher he really was. Please check it out and leave a comment below. Thanks in advance.

Hey Wesley,
Lou Gehrig has somehow been forgotten amongst the game’s immortals, even though he was possibly even more of a reason for the success of Ruth’s 1927 Yankees. Read about the quiet, forgotten leader of “Murderer’s Row,” Henry Lou Gehrig.
