John McLean is a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots, Houston Astros, and Philadelphia Flyers. He became a fan of the Sacramento Kings when he moved to California as an adult. At Binghamton University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in English, John played one semester of NCAA Division III ice hockey. He also played baseball, tennis, pickup football, and other sports as a youth.
John has six years of professional editing experience and is currently employed as an associate editor. He has also worked as a freelance and magazine writer.
