Blaine's Bio

I live in beautiful Redding California and have been a die-hard 'Niner's fan since before the glory years. I have six beautiful children ages 2,8,13,15,16, and 18. My oldest son is a Cowboy's fan (not sure where I went wrong there!). My wife is a Raider's fan (they say opposites attract-or is it attack?). I also like the San Francisco Giants, The New York Yankees (yep it's true), the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Sacramento Kings. Strange line up I know, but I can explain.
I blame it all on my dad and his being from Southern California. He likes the Dodgers, Rams, and Lakers. When my two brothers and I would watch sporting events with my dad, my brothers would always root with my dad and I (always having to be different) would root for whomever they were playing against. Hence, the Niners, Giants, and Yankees (back in the 70's as some of you may recall, the Yankees and Dodgers met several time in the fall classic). The Lakers were the only team of his that I adopted-I guess that doesn’t say much for the Warriors, but I just don't remember the Lakers and Warriors as a great rivalry. The Kings weren’t in Sacramento back then, but now that they are, they are the closest thing Redding has to a local team.
Well, enough about that, I am here because of the 49ers and some of the great articles that B/R writers have posted-just want to be a part of it!

  11. Thanks for the POTD vote. O and quick question. Can an article win AOTD if the picks carry over multiple days? I published my latest article around 8:30 to 9:00 p.m. and I'm starting to think that I shouldn't have published it so late.

  12. Thanks for the vote Blaine!
