About Christopher »

I am a hockey writer with a focus on the future of hockey - the prospects. As well, Christopher Rock, aka "The Hockey Spy", is your inside agent covering current NHL events, fantasy hockey, international hockey, trade speculation, and of course the NHL entry draft. I'm a fan of the Calgary Flames - thus, a good portion of posts will reflect that.

Wayne Gretzky once said:"A good hockey player plays where the puck is. A great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be."

"The Hockey Spy" attempts to take readers not just where hockey is right now, but where it's going in the future.

As well, The Hockey Spy also has an alias or two - namely: The Football Spy and The Soccer Spy. Therefore, expect to see some coverage of those sports as well.

Here are some of my other sports writing endeavors:
*NHL writer/blogger on the Most Valuable Network as "The Hockey Spy"
http://mvn.com/hockeyspy
*I recently joined The Hockey Writers (THW) and will cover the Toronto Maple Leafs
http://thehockeywriters.com
*I am also 'experimenting' with a Manchester United based blog::

Keep your stick on the ice!

Christopher:

We have seen a ton of lists, rankings, etc. all over B/R. I finally tried one of my own, but I tried to tackle this particular list from a different angle than the norm. My list is of the 10 Most Valuable Offensive Players in the NFL.

These players aren't necessarily the best in the league, or even the best at their positions, but rather the 10 players that mean the most to their particular team's SB chances.

Would love your input if you have a chance. If not, no worries. Thanks!

Hi Christopher,

Welcome to Bleacher Report. Thanks so much for the "fan" add...it's always appreciated!

So, the Hockey Spy, we finally meet! You've done some nice work, so glad to see another local Flames fan on the board. It seems we are also THW colleagues; I have had to take a long break due to a chest infection which has kept me on the DL, but I'm getting back in the loop this week. Anyway, it looks like you know your way around, but if you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to ask myself or other members. Leave a bulletin board message via members' profile pages, use the search engine to find writers/staff, topics, and information, or feel free to contact me through THW and I'll send better contact info. As the Calgary Flames Community Leader, I am available to answer questions and am always up for hockey talk, collaberative projects, etc, and if you ever have any feedback, know you can let loose! I hope you find lots of things here on the site to keep you engaged, and you've already posted lots of good stuff. Again, much appreciated, great work.

Take it easy, and see you out there,

Mac

Christopher:

NFL runningback Ryan Moats was pulled over last week on the way to the hospital to say goodbye to his dieing mother-in-law. He was detained and harassed by the officer for almost 15 minutes, and in that time his mother-in-law passed away. He was not able to get to her in time to say goodbye.

I was heartbroken when I heard this story, but enraged when I actually saw a 17 minute video of the entire incident. I have never seen such an abuse of power in my life.

Because of the nature of this subject, this article was pretty important to me. I would love if you could check it out when you get a chance. If not, no problem. Thanks!
