Barry's Fans (6)
Barry's Bio
Barry spent his childhood watching constant re-runs of Sportscenter all morning long, especially during the summer of '97, when the Pirates' Freak Show team nearly won the division with a $9 million payroll. Unfortunately, that's as close as the Buccos have been since he's been in second grade. Barry's other hobbies include debating whether or not the DH is bad for baseball (it is), being happy Pitt's basketball team finally made it to the Elite 8, and being the only Utah Jazz fan east of the Mississippi.

Hey Barry—Max Tcheyan here, a Bleacher Report Community Coordinator.
I've been spending time on our Pirates page and read a couple of your old articles. Really on-point analysis...you do good work.
Given that you haven't written in a while, I thought I'd check in and see if you're interested in picking up your coverage again. What do you say?
If not, it would be great if you could give me some feedback on why you decided to stop writing and what we could have done to better serve you. If you wouldn't mind, please shoot me a line at mtcheyan@bleacherreport.com with any thoughts.
Thanks so much,
Max

Hey, I am trying to put together a Bleacher Report mid-season fantasy all-star team. If you are interested email me a list of a starting roster including one starter and closer to ielyacha@student.umass.edu. Also, maybe include some analysis on why you picked that guy. I am thinking a July 13 deadline, and hit me back if you are interested.
Thanks,
Isaac

Yes, I grew up in LA. Didn't you guys try to use Beimel as a starter for a while?
I can't explain why but Joe Beimel is one of my favorite players ever. I've met him a couple of times and I'm basically obsessed! Knowing that you were such a Pirates fan from your father's day article I was wondering what you thought of him, since he started out there.
