About

CATCH MY BASEBALL MEMOIR COMING SOON!
I am a proud father of three with a loving, supportive wife. I was a minor league baseball player, high school English teacher, HS baseball coach who is now in his third year as an elementary school principal. I also work as an adjunct professor teaching graduate level education classes for Aurora University. I am a passionate, positive principal who is always exploring new ways to inspire students, staff, and parents. I am also a writer. I have two memoirs coming out in 2009 and 2011. I am currently drafting some education books and also rewriting some screenplays

My baseball memoir should be released during the 2009 baseball season, hopefully during ALL-STAR week. The memoir tells my story about how baseball and the Milwaukee Brewers shaped my childhood and years later saved my life. EMAIL me at joelkatte@yahoo.com for more details. Follow updates on progress of my books at www.twitter.com/joelkatte Check out the artwork for my first book in my profile picture (No, the Christmas candle will not be a part of the cover design.)

I enjoy baseball, tennis, basketball, golf, biking, hiking, and traveling with my family. My favorite hobby is collecting vintage MOVIE POSTERS, especially sports titles like PRIDE OF THE YANKEES, SAFE AT HOME (MARIS and MANTLE), and THE HUSTLER.

You definitely went into the right field being a teacher. Then being a principal is even better. Keep up the good work helping the kids out. catering companies
