TJ's Bio

I am currently a Sophomore, Print Journalism major at Quinnipiac University.

I love baseball, football, and basketball, and hope to write about them professionally one day, but for right now this will do. My favorite teams (a.k.a. causes of anger/nervousness/happiness in no particular order) are the New York Yankees, Miami Dolphins, and the Portland Trailblazers.

I am from Stamford, CT (45 Minutes from Yankee Stadium) so the Yankees are a local team.

My father had family in FLA. and they would come up for holidays and watch the Fins and the first year he began watching was in '72 (still the only perfect season) and my father has been a fan ever since and passed it down to me. For better or worse (a.k.a. this season).

The Blazers are the most random team to be a fan of in the United States, I know. I became a fan because like many other people of my generation I grew up watching the Chicago Bulls of the '90s dominate and whenever I would play I would be Scottie Pippen because my cousin was better than I am so he would be Jordan. I ended up becoming a big Scottie Pippen fan and still am, so when he ended up with the Jailblazers I started rooting for them and now I am hooked. What are you going to do?

I will write about whatever sport/ team/ player gets me fired up enough to write something on them. I will try to be as objective as I can, but I will be honest I will overrate my favorite athletes/teams (before the season started I thought the Dolphins could have snuck into the playoffs this year).

Please feel free to question or comment about anything I write.

  1. T.J. I just wanted to reiterate that your piece is really good, but it would be much better served being broken up into two articles: one about Joba, and the other about your top five celebrations.
