During the same 8 game period , The RBs carried the ball 156 times.
Pass/Run ratio of 2 to 1

Their lone win came against the Texans. A game that featured 30-26 Pass/Rush

After Jason Garret became HC (his job on the line)

In the last 8 games of the 2010 season, HC Jason Garrett called 250 Pass Plays

During the same 8 games, the Cowboys had 213 rush attempts by their starting RBs

Winning 5 of those games.

The problem here is Jason Garrett has always called the Offense. 4 years of it.

The first 8 games of last year is more indicative of the last 4 years of his Cowboys tenure as OC.
(The numbers bear witness to this fact also)

This is the same Offense that not only heavily assisted in getting a man fired, it also robbed all Cowboys fans of potential SB winning seasons.

So no, I don't trust a coach that would go to such lengths as to sandbag an entire team for his own gain.
