There has always been a connection between religion and sports, and Major League Baseball has certainly not been the exception to the rule.

Check out the All-Catholic lineup…the best Catholic names (by position) in MLB history.

Thanks as always!

Hey,

The turmoil surrounding the 1977 Yankees earned them the nickname of “The Bronx Zoo.” The current 2009 Yankees have an interesting blend of leaders and pranksters, so I decided to create a LITERAL “zoo.”

Check out what animal each Yankee would be reincarnated as in a next life.

Thanks everyone!

Hey James (where ya been buddy?),

Ryan Zimmerman’s hit streak halted at 30 games last night. As one streak ends, another is admired. Read about how Joe DiMaggio forever redefined ’56,’ and how his feat may never be broken. It is a record that thankfully cannot be broken through steroid use, and represents all that was once right in a game that has since gone so wrong.

Thanks in advance!

Hey James (sorry about being the only BB poster all the time),

The Yankees have seemingly been sleeping through the early part of 2009, and it reminds of a children’s story from years past. New York has become its own version of Rip Van Winkle. I would love to hear your feedback and comments on this humor piece which also highlights the Yankees many issues.

Thanks everyone…and I hope you enjoy my take on the crisis in the Bronx.

Hey James,

SI’s Selena Roberts has chosen to haunt A-Rod, and do anything in her power to achieve money, success, and fame. Is she really so different than A-Rod after all? Read why I said “NO.” I would love to hear your comments and feedback.

Hey again James,

The Yankees were already hitting just .232 with RISP (3rd worst in the league) BEFORE facing the Red Sox. They then went a horrifying 4-19. Read how fans are beginning to become angry and impatient as the left-on-base totals begin to skyrocket. I would love to hear your thoughts and comments.

Hey James,

After 86 years in “The House that Ruth Built,” it still felt weird imagining the Yankees in a new building. In my third trip to the new Yankee Stadium, there were events that finally made it begin to feel like home.

I would love to hear your comments and feedback. Thanks in advance!

Hey James,

The Alex Rodriguez steroid/hip saga is almost coming to a close, and I wanted to tell the story of A-Rod’s tumultuous offseason through the eyes of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, or in this case “April.” Both A-Rod and the Grinch are slightly misunderstood and have taken a bevy of negative criticism.

Let me know what you think of the article and my rhyming skills. Thanks in advance!
