About Doc »

My name is Mike Debelak. I am a huge baseball fan. I played baseball competetively until I blew out my arm in high school during my senior year. I still play in men's leagues and feel that I have some left in the tank. I am majoring in advertising at San Diego State. My dream job would to be a sports radio show host (Jim Rome is my favorite) or a high school baseball coach.

Hey Doc,

Got a couple baseball columns for you. What's going on between the Red Sox and Daisuke Matsuzaka? Well, they're both at fault.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/227080-red-sox-matsuzaka-both-at-fault-but-hardheadedness-doesnt-help

And here's my take on David Ortiz testing positive and how I think it changes a big piece of history.

If you have a moment, please check them out. Thanks!

I am beginning a very exciting adventure, and looking for support from the B/R community. Beginning this September I will visit every pro sports stadium in the span of one calendar year- becoming the first person to ever accomplish the feat. If you would be willing to contribute to the fnd so I can accomplish this goal, or even to pass along to others who may be interested, I would be greatly indebted to you. Let me know if you would like more information. Thanks

Hey Doc,

Check out my article on how fans are forced to choose between integrity and entertainment too often, and the societal conflict that creates when we realize that sports are just another form of entertainment.

Hey Doc,

Ryan Zimmerman’s hit streak halted at 30 games last night. As one streak ends, another is admired. Read about how Joe DiMaggio forever redefined ’56,’ and how his feat may never be broken. It is a record that thankfully cannot be broken through steroid use, and represents all that was once right in a game that has since gone so wrong.

Thanks in advance!

Hey,

Walter Johnson was one of the greatest pitchers of all time and yet sometimes is not thought of when we talk about baseball in the past. I've decided to write about him and to show how great a pitcher he really was. Please check it out and leave a comment below. Thanks in advance.
