About

Will now has his own column revolving around the New Orleans Saints. It is intended to be an in-depth column bringing a coach's point of view on all things New Orleans Saints.

Will graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication.

Will was the Freshman Offensive Coordinator/WRs Coach at West Hills High School in Santee, CA. Before that, he was an Assistant at Buena High School in Ventura, CA.

He also has a background in Scouting as he completed a course called Football GM & Scouting through Sports Management Worldwide. He was tutored by former NFL Scout, Russ Lande.

When Will is not grading NFL prospects, he works for Synergy Sports Technology as a Phase 1 Logger for College/Int'l/NBA Basketball.

He transferred from Ventura College after 2 years. That followed a brief stint at Oxnard College where played baseball as a Pitcher. At 6'4, Will had the arm, but not the overall talent.

Prior to Will's stint at Oxnard, he was a 4 year player at Rio Mesa High School. He also played one year of basketball for the Spartans.

Will was born on December 4th, 1986 in Long Beach, CA to Linda and Bill Osgood. He is the 5th William James Osgood in a row. Will is currently single and resides in Southern California.

Will calls Cornerstone in Simi Valley his church home, and his relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important thing in his life.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Drew Brees, LT, Chris Paul, Mark Prior, Albert Pujols, Alexander Ovechkin, Lance Berkman, Sonny Cumbie, and the list goes on...

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Saints, Chargers, Cubs, Angels, Padres, Ducks, Hornets, Clippers, LA Avengers, UCLA Bruins, SDSU Aztecs, and Tennessee Vols.

  • Favorite Coaches

Sean Payton, Tony Dungy, Steve Fisher and others

  • All Time Sports Moment

When the Cubs win the World Series this year.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Game 5 of the 2002 ALCS where Adam Kennedy hit 3 Home Runs (1 of them off then-reliever Johan Santana) and the Angels won the Pennant. That was an incredible atmosphere. Next, would be any of the USC-UCLA football games I've been to, especially the '06 upset on my 20th birthday.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Cal Ripken's Consecutive Games Played streak. Will never be done again (not even close).

  • Ruth or Mays?

Mays; he did everything. He was the ultimate 5-Tool Player. He ran, he fielded, he threw, he hit for average, he hit for power. And he made probably the most-memorable web gem of all-time.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Both were great, but I have to go w/ Montana barely b/c his numbers are just a little more impressive in my opinion. However, in 5 years I think we'll be asking Montana or Brees?

  • Jordan or Russell?

    Jordan and then Chris Paul

  • Gretzky or Orr?

    Gretzky

  • Pele or Maradona?

    who?

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

for Basketball and baseball I'd say the Pac-10, but for football definitely the SEC.

    Hey Will!

Sorry for the whole argument about whether Vilma should stay or not, I hope I at least kept it a civil argument and didn't seem like I was attacking you or anything in said comments.

Anyway, I look forward to reading your future articles. You do a great job of mixing your knowledge of the NFL and the Saints for your love for the Saints in your writing.

Hey Will! I would definitely not say that I have taken anyone's spot! (yet). haha.

Probably just some beginner's luck! I have grown so much in these last few months thanks to your helpful criticism and encouraging comments. I really appreciate your support and consistent help.

Continue the great writing yourself Will! I look forward to reading your stuff for a long time.

P.S. here's to the Saints' Super Bowl hopes! I hope we both have a lot to write about in regards to the Saints winning the Lombardi Trophy.

    Hey Will,
sorry for the immature natural I participated in on your last article, that was honestly not my intention upon getting into a disagreement, I value opinions and when backed by substance I truly enjoy conversations about teams and things that I am passionate about. Sorry again for the back and forth nature of the conversation. I have been a fan of your writing for quite some time now and look forward to reading more fo your articles.

Hey Will, great stuff on the comparison between the Lions and the Saints. Keep on writing my friend!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on my Saints' Free Agents article. Talk to you soon. Who Dat! (not the Lions...)

That's because you're being totally honest in your article and you stopped making excuses for our defense. I knew it was going to bite us sooner or later. Our Offense can't bail us out of every game as was evident today. Terrible game on both sides of the ball. I've never seen our secondary play this bad with Greer and Porter in the game. They're being asked to do something that doesn't fit their strong point of playing the receivers up close and being physical at the line. Hopefully it will get fixed soon. We needed a good embarrassing loss I think.

Hey, would you be able to send your e mail to klangan@omnipossible.com? I want to get the B/R community leaders on a mailing list for a press release on behalf of Sports Media 101.

    Thanks

Hey Will do you pay attention?? You assume(you know what happens here) that the Browns are going to continue to run a 3-4? They have already said their going to run a 4-3......Man your supposed to know this....

Hey Will.... Haven't posted in a while, so i thought I'd say hi... Hope things are cool your way...

Noticed the absence of B&G:Xs&Os.... Not gonna cry, I promise.... (comes back from crying) Where was I? Oh, yeah... Totally miss the column, my man. I know you are busy, so can I just request a Saints Quarterly Report?

Everybody's talking about the Saints & their ugly wins. I've seen abberations at the beginning of the year that have become trends. Nobody is analyzing it, breaking it down or otherwise. Sure, we get game-by-game details, but I need more. If over-celebrating brought bad karma, then someone should write that. :)

But seriously, your opinion really matters in Saintland. Even WhoDatDish wants you. If you find the time, we out here would love to have your take on this team right now.

I do read all kinds of stuff about the Saints. I'm a football news junkie. But when you're not breaking stuff down, it seems like something's missing.

That's it man... glad to see you're still on BR....
