About

Hey, my name is Chris, I'm 19 years old, currently residing in London England, and I'm a die hard sports fan.

*NOTE* I've decided to vent some steam after the Rays' most recent loss by writing a longer bio :p

I was born in Alexndria Virginia June of 1988. I lived in Australia from the age of two years for a total time of six months before returning to Virginia.

I attended St. John's Catholic School in McLean VA from Kindergarden through third grade. During this time I lived with my parents in McLean, where I was brought up on post-Superbowl Washington Redskins football. During that same period, due to spending lots of time at my Grandmother's who had cable TV.

Enter NASCAR, which at the time, was on cable alone. I grew up a Jeff Gordon fan, which I blame on being 6 years old and picking the most colorful car. I have vague memories of the '96 season, but my most vibrant memory is watching Jeff Gordon lead a Hendrick trio, winning the '97 Daytona 500.

Then, in the summer of '97 my parents up and moved to Devon, England (the back end of nowhere to you and me). My sports interests promptly became fixed around Manchester United thanks to my father. I'm happy to say I shed that curse in favour of Manchester City (The team it turned out my father supported when he was a boy) who are my primary english sport's focus.

However, I'm just as happy to say that I will shortly be returning to St. Petersburg Florida, home of my beloved (Devil) Rays. My love affair with the rays began back in 2004 shortly after aquiring Scott Kazmir (no, that wasn't the reason) when I decided it was time i took an interest in America's pastime. At the time, I happened to be in St. Petersburg, so it made sense to take an interest in the (at the time) Devil Rays. And thus the affair of love (and hate and swearing and tears and anger) was born.

Thanks to the internet and British satelite TV (Sky) I am able to keep current with my American sports while I am at university in London. And, thanks to that, I am able to give every opinion I've got :p take that as a chance of greatness or a curse, as you will.

Cheers to all, Chris

Hey. I recently revised one of my very first articles. It was on the Man City takeover and was published about 6 months ago. After reading it, though, it still seems relevant today and a couple of my predictions have come true.

It's a very, very, very long article but I'd appreciate it if you gave it a look over and maybe post a comment.

    Take care mate. Cheers.

Hey Christopher - Jeff here, a Bleacher Report Community Coordinator.

I've been spending time on our Rays page and read a couple of your old articles. Really on-point analysis...you do good work.

Given that you haven't written in a while, I thought I'd check in and see if you're interested in picking up your coverage again. What do you say?

If not, it would be great if you could give me some feedback on why you decided to stop writing and what we could have done to better serve you. If you wouldn't mind, please shoot me a line at jeff@bleacherreport.com with any thoughts.

    Thanks so much,

    Jeff

Hey Christopher. Hope this finds you well. I wanted to reach out to you as I'm a new Community Leader on the NASCAR page. I hope that you will comment and even write - it's great fun. I see you are a Jeff Gordon fan - as I am -a good potential topic for the site. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for the NASCAR racing page. Hope to hear from you soon!
    Best,
    Mary Jo

Thanks for reading my article and for the comment, I used to live in Walton-on-Thames and in Cobham in England. Big time Man U fan when they had Cantona and Schmeichel.
