Hope you write about your PIR adventure on here or if your taking pictures you could just do a slide show. Anyways have a safe trip, if you get the chance climb Monument Hill it has the best view of PIR or so Speed's Adam Alexander said last year during the truck race.

    Take Care,

Agree with you on the Ask.com deal and Academy Sports+Outdoors is a chain like the Bass Pro Shop. Although I could see them backing them for the 2009 season, than move onto a new team.

You ain't kidding, disappointed he didn't run any better and it starting to reminds me of his time with PE. Just seems like he starts with the car not handling right from the drop of green, gets behind and his crew can't fix it.

Yeah it's of Kelli Hansen, current lead singer of Foreigner and been a fan of his since his days in the 80's in a band called Hurricane. Figured I was jinxing Bobby with my profile pic of him and changed it. Some day going to have to do the ride along also.

    Angela,

I just edited your PIR story and noticed it was written on Friday. Anytime you have something wrote and it's not getting edited quickly (like within a few hours or so) feel free to drop me an e-mail bbomberger@bleacherreport.com and I'll get to it as quick as I can. Sometimes when they fall off like that, they never get a chance to get read. I also am going to submit the link to Jayski's link page and see if he'll put it on there. Good story!

That's happened to me a couple of times. There are certain stories that I thought would get more reads and they didn't.

My suggestion would be to really create a strong or enticing headline that is going to grab people's attention and make them want to read it.

You could also post things on people's BB and let them know about it and ask them to read it.

I don't think that the day makes any difference, maybe the time of day. If you post something at night, people may not see it until the next morning.

    Hey-

I've been working on a really slow and not very good home computer because my laptop blew up. So, I might have missed your email. I hope that everything went well though. But I'm back up now on a new laptop so everything should be good now.

Thanks for always commenting and the support.

Just in case e-mail doesn't work:

    Angela,

Congrats on the interview! That's a pretty big one! ha

I'm awful at coming up with questions for interviews, and usually do better just listening to people talk, but it's not always that easy.

If you are aiming for a story about how to help fans, here are a few things to consider asking:

    1. In such a tough economy, what is the track doing to make sure the stands are full for both races?

    2. How do you keep the balance between helping attract new fans, while not snubbing the loyal season ticket holders? In other words, you don't want to give everything away to the new people, without offering some incentive (if not more) to those who have been loyal through the good and bad times?

    3. How are ticket sales thus far the April Sprint Cup race? Above/Below average?

    4. Being a track president in these times has got to be tough, how much more aggressive are you approaching the race and events connected with the race to make sure people are getting the most "bang for their buck?"

    5. In one word, describe what makes PIR so unique? (If you can't do it in one word, go ahead and use a couple :)

    6. How closely are you working with local businesses (such as hotels) to try and get the best packages possible for race fans?

I don't know if those help any?? If you are looking to focus on the tickets and the economy and such, those are the routes I'd go. Of course, you can re-work each of them or combine a couple or expand, but at least it gives you a few ideas to go on...

What are you thinking about asking him??

This is the track you visit yearly... right?

If so, then you probably have an idea of what a normal weekend is like there, maybe he can give you (and the thousand other fans who are going) an idea of what to expect this year...
