About

I was the original Green Bay Packers and San Jose Sharks Community Leader for Bleacher Report. I was born in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, attended University Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and live in San Francisco, California, and have been working for non-profits since 1992 and the performing arts since 1994.

I used to be a huge basketball fan, but was turned off by an imbalance of officiating. I used to be a huge baseball fan, but imbalance of payrolls and steroids turned me off; thank you to the San Francisco Giants for restoring my love starting in 2009. But it's still first and foremost NFL and NHL, distantly followed by MLB and college football (if college administrators agree to finally decide their champion with a playoff), basketball and hockey.

Three notes: I can write "we" when covering the Packers because they are MY team—I am an owner. I use Canadian spellings unless talking about American football—deal with it! And if you belittle someone, suggest they are dumb for holding their opinion or suggest it does not belong in print, expect MJ to respond as a hockey enforcer! It does not make me thin-skinned because I hit back, it makes you thin-skinned if you can dish criticism out but can't take it.

Several articles from here were featured internationally, on CBSsports.com, FoxSports.com, and Yahoo Sports. Also a paid writer for other blogs on sports as well as social and spiritual matters...please check them out!

Finally, MJ kindly requests that you refrain from profanity on bulletin board and articles, as I don't want to discourage parents and their kids from stopping by.

You and I might have some differences in opinion as far as the NHL teams we go for and who won the Nash trade, but I agree with you 100% that golf and NASCAR are about the two most useless things on the face of the planet.

Thanks for the clarification. I feel like a jackass for missing that because your wording already made it clear what the statistics referred to. Definitely a solid article on the road team anomaly in these playoffs (including the Capitals tonight, how about that?). Again thanks for the clarification, and my mistake for the thoughtless comment on the story. Keep up the solid writing.
