Unitas, by one of the short hairs on his head--but I'll take Elway.

Pele since I think he'll prove to be more timeless, but admittedly I don't know much about the world's #1 sport.

Gretzky--dominated his era a little more.

  1. Did you want me to e-mail you a copy of the article?

Or I could send you a copy of the article signed?

  2. You should know better than to tangle with me young grasshopper. Where was Marleau and Cheechoo in the first two games of round two when you guys dug an insurmountable whole? That's what I thought...Hallyburton scores!

  3. As the number of writers and sports journalist on Bleacher Report continue to increase I'm happy to know that you read my article put so much effort into writing comments on both Zander's and my wall. ll

While I understand that you are upset that you were not able to comment on the article before it was deleted, I would love to e-mail you a copy of the article, if you would like to post a copy on your fridge. I have some great magnets of that I'd love to send you.

Please do enjoy reading the my future articles. I just completed an article that you might enjoy titled, "How Much Do you Care About An Athletes Legal Troubles"?

  4. HAHAHA,

this is hilarious...you are a tad bit competetive, eh! And the Sharks did choke...how was Thornton and Cheechoo and Marleau? haha, I think i was on the right track..........

  5. Uh...... another Patriot hater!!!!.... just kidding I like your your profile pic Huskies are my favorite dogs hope you don't mind me adding you as a favorite writer. thanks

  6. Hey MJ I was one of the persons who commented on the article "black athlethes just one arrest after another" I commented about heatley's crash and craig mactavish's charge. I hope i'm not the overtly other racist person you were talking to Zander about I don't believe I am. I read the article last night and knew there would be trouble I believe you were talking about a comment about 2 or 3 comments down. Immediatly I thought of the other members on this site who are black and felt ashamed. I was also kind of curious of what the articles writers response was since I missed it. thanx

  7. Me too, but I cringe when I think of that big contract we just gave him. I wore my Setoguchi shirt to the gym today, I'm taking baby steps lol.

  8. Haha, maybe they are reading our banter. I don't really mind this, it's an intellegent discussion between two Sharks fans. Anyway, I do see where you're coming from, how trading him would allow us to bring in a big name. However, I'd rather see a guy like Matt Carle go if we're going to free up some cap space.

  9. Ok, I have a big problem with a +/- stat for a few reasons. Apparently Marleau was sick (mono, apparently?) for part of the season. With lines being juggled so much by Wilson, I think it was hard to find any sort of chemistry with new linemates all the time. He also had that big scoring slump during the season, so of course that's going to affect your stats. Either way, i still think he was one of the better guys in the playoffs, when it matters most, so getting rid of him isn't really the way to go. Because he isn't the loudest captain, here's another guy who isn't and still is effective: Nicklas Lidstrom. DW just needs to surround him with more vocal guys. Plus, getting rid of our best players isn't really that great. Case in point: the Senators and the Sabres.

Ehrhoff, I will admit, was great in the regular season. I was an Ehrhoff fan, I even have the signed shirt/hat/other shirt jersey thing to prove it. But playing well for a game or two doesn't excuse turning over the puck a lot or taking really inopportune penalties that usually led to goals. But that's neither here nor there, the guy's going to still be in SJ. And, the salary argument isn't valid. Here's are two players that were more solid than he was not only in the regular season but in the playoffs as well: Douglas Murray and Joe Pavelski. Plus, Ehrhoff is going to be due for a raise, since he's up for a new contract.

Either way, I'm still pretty pissed. But I have started talking about the Sharks to people I know. Today was the first day I even commented on the playoffs to people I go to school with.

  10. Well, I think you are being unrealistically hard on Marleau, but hey. That's perfectly fine. And I KNOW, I pretty much fell out of my seat and rolled over laughing. I'm laughing as I type this. Hahahahaha.

  11. Ha, no to be honest, I didn't really even know what the full comment was. I've actually developed some thick skin finally, so I don't really care what people say now. Yay for Danielle! But thank you though.
By the way, I read a comment on my latest hockeybuzz article saying that Ehrhoff was captain material. I'm going to leave it at that.
    -Danielle

  12. I'm going to assume Danielle is still pretty ticked at me...will you tell her I'm sorry again? That was really a-hole of me. I am still pretty ashamed of that behavior...

  13. just wanted to draw your attention to my michalek article. Its not much but he seems to be ok.

  14. MJ
Thanks for the feedback. Sorry if I sounded super defensive, I'm just a little mad still. I probably should have worded what I said more carefully. And we never did chat about Marleau, I just read your latest article and gathered your opinion based on that.

  15. Sorry for taking so long to respond. I have moved to a different location and did not have internet connection until today. My harsh response was not because of baseball at all. He had mentionned baseball in his article and I decided to make a ridiculous suggestion that was as ridiculous as the one he suggested in his article.

In a word, in my opinion, it's as ridiculous to take away an assist on a goal in hockey that it is to take away a strike to retire a player at bat in baseball.
