Born and bred in New Jersey, now living in Virginia. I was an avid sports fan long before it was cool to be a female sports fan, but I have never and will never own a pink hat. Baseball is my first love but football isn't far behind. Not much for stats but I can talk them if I have to.

Much has been written about the Steelers, the 1970s, and their use of steroids. The current public perception is the Steelers began and glamorized the use of roids in the 70s. Read my article to find out who one man, with 4 NFL teams, spread the use of steroids throughout the NFL, beginning in 1963, and see just how pervasive roid usage was by the time the Steelers began their decade of dominance.

If you've struck a nerve, then you're doing your job as a writer. ;)
Hey Trish, sorry I'm late on this welcome.
I'm TJ, a Steelers Community Leader here at Bleacher Report and I'd just like to welcome you on behalf of the entire community. You'll find the Steelers portion (like others) is VERY talkative, very open to new opinions, and VERY eager to debate.
If you've got any questions feel more than free to get in touch with me.
Oh, and congrats on your Ben Roethlisberger article. Over 1K reads. :)

As everyone else is, I am applying for the CBSSport job for the Steelers. I wrote an article about how I grew up a Steeler fan.
If you could, take a look and feel free to comment if you would like.
Thanks,
Nick

Hey Trish,
Lou Gehrig has somehow been forgotten amongst the game’s immortals, even though he was possibly even more of a reason for the success of Ruth’s 1927 Yankees. Read about the quiet, forgotten leader of “Murderer’s Row,” Henry Lou Gehrig.

Hey Trish,
After 86 years in “The House that Ruth Built,” it still felt weird imagining the Yankees in a new building. In my third trip to the new Yankee Stadium, there were events that finally made it begin to feel like home.
I would love to hear your comments and feedback. Thanks in advance!
