  3. Im becoming your fan just off the fact you saw the Nuggets upset the sonics in 93. It was definitely in my top three things I saw in my lifetime in the NBA. Its also why Im opposed to the 7 game 1st round series

  5. Michael,

I knew you weren't challenging me. I just wanted to give you my honest answer.

Believe me, I know there are many who have the homer goggles on. Not just on BR but in newspapers, radio and TV.

I believe in trying to be as unbiased as possible. I was asked to write articles about the Steelers and I will write about them unbiased, good or bad, whether Pittsburgh fans like it or not.

I agree with you on Manny. Dodger fans can look the other way if they want, but it still takes away from his accomplishments. Sad thing is, he's such a good hitter, he didn't need to cheat.

Thanks for adding me as a friend and keep up the good work with your writing.

  6. Thanks for the comment Brian and I was not challenging your integrity, just trying to determine if you would have written it on someone else.

I understand your position and respect it. I also am NOT condemning Ben or assuming any guilt on his part at this time.

I have just seen some of the writers here at B/R that have some very tight "Homer Goggles" on, which bothers me, as even though I follow certain teams, I do try to take any bias out, as much as I can.

A good example was in an article I wrote about Man-Ram and then the LA fans were in my face, feeling he did nothing wrong as long as he still had his stroke at the plate.

  7. Michael,
I wanted to answer you personally on the comment you left on my Ben Roethlisberger junk journalism story.

    My answer may surprise you.

I have worked as a sportswriter in Central Pennsylvania for almost 20 years and most of my writing has been about Pittsburgh, but I'm not a Steelers fan.

So to answer your question in the comment, yes I would have written the same article if it would have been Joe Flacco or Philip Rivers.

BTW, may favorite team is the St. Louis Rams. I liked them all the way since their days in L.A.

  8. As a baseball fan I thought you might want to take a look at my new article on the Dodgers legend Steve Garvey let me know what you think. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/220684-dodgers-legend-steve-garvey-was-a-true-ball-player
