Steelers' 'Curtain of Chaos' Strikes Again!!
One fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. One interception returned for a touchdown. Four Sacks. One ball strip. Welcome back Curtain of Chaos!

9.7.09 Quote of the Week:
HINES WARD: "'We don't play for stats around here, we play for rings.'"
(Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)

I grew up in Pittsburgh but it wasn't until I moved to Nashville and the Titans dared to put Tommy Maddox in the hospital that my Steelers’ fanaticism grew exponentially. The Steelers then became my connection home; the dozens of text messages and calls I made during games assured my family I was still alive and kicking.

Second on my fan-list are the Chicago Bears--for various collegiate loyalty reasons.

My sports loyalties also lie with Vanderbilt and Florida State, which means that I really, absolutely and completely, abhor the University of Florida. Kind of funny going from Vandy to FSU, where football and tailgating reign supreme. My first ‘real’ tailgating experience was at FSU: we started at noon and by kickoff at 6pm I was hungover. Conclusion? Tailgating must be done at a massive state university to be fully experienced: alums handing out food, other FSU sports teams with mini-parties and kegs, students and alums everywhere chanting ‘F*** Miami’…-cough- Sorry.... Sigh, what happy memories.

Anyway, I'm not a consistent weekly contributor, but when I do contribute it will probably be on something that's happened in the NFL that bothers me or an idea that occurs to me -- and it will be thoughtful and well-written. Or it may just be a review of a recent game and my impressions of it. So most often my articles will be my take on things from a general-fan perspective or why something is just illogical.

Thanks for reading--and please come again!

What up everyone? I wrote an article about the changes here on B/R over the last couple of months, and about some of the things that we used to have, that we don't anymore. If you could, check it out.

As I have said in the past, many times, I am not on here for AOTD votes, but I believe that if enough of you give me your AOTD vote, then maybe the higher ups will bring back some of the things that are gone.

Thanks a bunch, I really appreciate it.

If you get the chance, check out my newest article. What the future holds for the offensive line of the Steelers.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/208782-what-to-expect-from-the-steelers-offensive-line-after-this-year

A lot of people may not agree with me, but I think in time, everyone will see that this is a real possibility.

CBSSports has asked us what we would ask if we were given the opportunity to interview one of the stars of our team. Here is what my interview with Big Ben Roethlisberger would look like.

No problem, Shelley. Glad I was able to help! Actually, the weather is sucking in Nashville right now. It's been raining for two days straight!

As far as ratings go, I don't believe there's a way to see how your article is being rated. However, ratings do affect the placement of the article (the higher the rating, the better the placement; for example, an article that receives a bunch of high ratings will probably end up on the front page for a little while) and your writer ranking.

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!
